The Japer town site is located in the Athabasca river valley. It is one of the
largest valleys in the Rockies uniquely placed with the meeting of three rivers, three valleys and three sub ranges. This creates a unique mountain setting with numerous lakes, and incredible mountain vistas. Jasper’s unique location creates some of the best lighting for photography on adjacent peaks with evening light falling on the eastern peaks and morning light on the western peaks.
